What did you think of the movie?
Seeing how far technology has come since 1957, when Sputnik was launched, we can conclude that technology will continue to develop and change our world. Further, as a whole technology is good, however, if used incorrectly it can have very negative affects on society and the world. How can we make sure that technology is used in the right ways and be responsible "digital citizens"?

i didnt see the movie, but i heard it was very interesting, very shocking, and cool.
ReplyDeleteThe movie was really good and proved anyone can do anything they put their minds to. But because of this, one person can change or start a revolution by one post or word the say. Digital citizens, no matter who they are as long as they're convincing, can change the minds of many people through their opinion, may it be good or bad.

ReplyDeletei think the movie we watched is an ihnspirational movie. It shows us that even people who come from basically nothing can become something. October Sky also showed me that you dont have to be what people think you should be;that you can live above the stereotype. The last thng this movie showed me was how far we have come in technology.
ReplyDeleteOur class didn't see the full movie, so it left me in suspense. Hmm, at the start I was amazed about how the boys would keep trying and trying to make their rocket fly, and eventually it did. Everyone, including their family and classmates were shocked. The tragedy that the father was in was quite depressing as well. I wish our class was able to watch the whole movie. I wanted to see what happens next.

ReplyDeleteI thought the movie was very interesting. It showed that you should go after what you want. You should not give up right away on your dreams. We can make sure that technology is used in the right ways by informing others on the dangers of the internet, like cyber bullying. We can also tell them the helpful ways the internet will help us learn and grow.
ReplyDeleteThe movie was really good and I wish we could've watched more because it was such an inspirational and interesting movie. It shows how far we've come in technology over the years. The world has advanced in technology so much. But, we should use technology responsibly and appropriately by following the rules and being careful of what you post on the Internet.

It also shows how we have changed mentally and phisically through out the years, but i wanted to see how it ended. I dont think we can ensure that people are using the internet correctly but we can teach people how to use it correctly and safely.If they choose not to use it correctly and safely it is there problem because we did what we could.
ReplyDeleteThe movie was interesting and very motivating. It taught us that you can do anything if you really put your mind into it and to ignore the people that try and stop you from doing it. I really would like to finish the movie to see what happens next. We can make sure technology is used in the right ways by having appropriate websites for all.
ReplyDeleteThe move was realy good that it inspired me not to give up on my dreams when people tell you to quit and that your idea will never work. And the right way to use technology is for not using to make other people feel bad or saying the wrong things . We need to be responsible of what we say that can affect other people
ReplyDeleteI thought that the movie was interesting but, we didn't get the chance to finish it. The movie showed me that if you work hard and really put your heart into it you can succed in anything. By making sure technology is used in the right ways and be responsible digital citizens is by setting a good example to others and not post what you don't want other people to post.
ReplyDeleteI didnt really finish the movie, but based on what I did see, I love how it put out that if you really really want to achieve something, and you put your mind to it, it can come true. We need to be responsible in what we say to others, because it can really affect someone, even if you really didn't mean it.
ReplyDeleteI thought the movie was great! Since we didn't get to finish it in class i rented it and saw the remainder of it. Overall I think since the time this movie takes place many things in our world have become normal such as the launch of rockets into space and such.

i thought the movie was very interesting so far. It showed me that dedication and hard work into something can make you succeed even if people don't support you on it. People can make sure that technology is used in the right ways by being responsible, safe, and respectful.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see the movie. I know we watched part of it in class but I was absent, I think. I feel a little relieved that other people said they did not finish it and that some said they didn't see it either. I know part of the plot though. Something about how a couple of kids followed their dreams to create a rocket, right? Well if thats the case, I guess its safe to say that this movie may have been inspirational for those who saw it. And no, I'm not just saying that because thats what other people put. It's inspirational because its about kids who against all odds fulfilled their dream despite the challenges. Giving the people who watched this, the idea that "if they can accomplish their dream, so can I."
